As the flowers bloom and the days grow longer, the optimism in the air is palpable. The spring is not just a season of growth in nature, but also a time for personal triumphs and empowerment. 

We wrapped up another triumphent GOTR season with a record number of participants celebrating together at the end-of-the-season 5Ks at Fair Oaks Mall and in Pentagon City! With thousands of participants, volunteers, and supporters coming together, the events showcased the spirit of community and empowerment. Even the rain couldn’t dull our participants’ Star Power that radiated from each and every one of them.

Participants, alongside their families, friends, and coaches, ran, walked, rolled, and cheered their way through the courses, celebrating not just physical achievement, but growth in confidence, character, and connection fostered through the GOTR program.

Our Executive Director, Caroline Woods, shared,

“The success of our 5K events is a testament to the incredible community support we receive and the hard work of our participants and volunteers. These events are not races; they are a celebration of the unique spirit and determination of every participant involved in our program.
